The MindLink Classification Platform is an abstract software module that allows users to build and assign classification labels to any kind of data. Classification labels are composed of one or more markings.
The attached markings inform users (and software) about the sensitivity of the data and appropriate level of dissemination, and provide a foundation for entitlement-based access-control.
The platform is designed for scalable and dynamic evaluation of classification marking arithmetic, enabling novel classification scenarios against complex marking schemas.

The MindLink Classification Platform is specifically designed to support US Government classification markings, as mandated by Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 710, and described in the CAPCO Manual.
The platform supports the full CAPCO marking set and is designed to implement the document access control, banner and portion marking behavior described in the CAPCO Register.
The platform is therefore able to support advanced and novel U.S. Intelligence Community marking scenarios, including CAPCO-enabled Persistent Chat.
The MindLink Classification Platform is integrated into the MindLink Persistent Chat product suite to enable first-class labeling of chat data.
Chat conversations (including Persistent Chat Rooms) may be assigned a classification label, whereby access to the conversation is dynamically cross-referenced with users' clearance entitlements.

Access rights to classified chat conversations are evaluated based on a user's entitlement-based clearance. User entitlements are modeled as attribute values from corporate directory systems.
For example, users may not enter a chat room if existing messages exceed their clearance level, or are not disseminated to their organisation.
The MindLink Chat Platform dynamically cross-references classification markings applied to messages with the classification of the chat conversation.
The effective classification of the chat history at any time is calculated dynamically by rolling-up the message classifications.
The platform leverages existing user attributes from Active Directory or Azure Active Directory to determine which classification markings are available to users.
The attribute-source mechanism is pluggable to third-party or bespoke corporate directory services.
